My practice explores themes of memory, migration and more-than-human worlds. Opening up registers of memory, I trace how land, plants, and labouring bodies were remade into resources using extractive frameworks that continue to shape our relationship with the natural world.
Resisting a singular, human-centric lens of history, my work dwells in the absences left behind by narratives that have been excluded. In pursuing multiple, fragmentary, competing, unresolved threads, I investigate ways to re-inscribe the past and build a shared archive that extends beyond human experience.
Engaging archival research, museum collections, and botanical foraging, I center more-than-human worlds as active agents rather than passive backdrops. Working across clay and textiles as reservoirs of meaning, my works propose memory as a space of continual negotiation between land, plants and bodies, where the stories we inherit and the futures we imagine might be co-authored.

ABOUT
I am a visual artist, currently pursuing MA in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art London, generously supported by the President and Vice Chancellor International Scholarship.
I graduated with a bachelors degree in product design in 2003. This was followed by more than a decade long stint in the industry, during which I got to experiment and create with multiple materials. Luckily for me, my work took me around the world, and I always found myself drawn to ceramics on these travels. However, it was only much later in 2017, that I discovered working with clay through a community studio that I joined on a whim. With time I realised that I connected with ceramics at a deeper level, it helped me express thoughts that were otherwise hard to verbalise.
I have had some wonderful opportunities to exhibit my work in India and abroad. I currently work out of RCA studios in London and my studio in Bangalore, where I continue to explore…unlearn and learn the beautiful medium of clay.
